Hi All

Do we have a good existing source at the rear of the car for 12v and/or Ground/Earth ?

Am I better getting a 12v source from the front of the car (e.g. fuse box)

I've grabbed a Bose spare tyre subwoofer (from a mazda6, my old one had this). It's a little combo with it's own amp. Internet suggests it's a 100w and have been using 10 -15 amp fuses. so I was thinking I'd start with 15a as that's what my headunit has

Have bench tested at 10a (I didn't have a spare 15a) so I know it works at that amount.
The 12v wire guage is pretty slim so surely it can't handle too much

Your best to wire it right to the battery like most other amps which are triggered by the head unit. You may get away with driving it off something else but audio stuff is pretty fussy with interference say if you were to drive it off the high current AYC motor power in the boot
