Measurement taken with car completely empty of luggage.....
Measurement accurate to plus/minus 100grams, Calibrated yesterday.

GVM = 1580.3Kg

Distribution Front to Rear

Front 920.2 Kg
Rear 660.1 Kg

Distribution of Weight on Each Wheel

Left/Front 479.8Kg Right/Front 440.4Kg

Left/Rear 319.4Kg Right/Rear 340.7Kg

All fluid levels are at full mark and fuel tank full to brim, with no luggage of any type in car.

Car is completely stock bar, 17"x7.5" Mags, Lowered Springs & replacement Head Unit.

It is 100% accurate, figures generated by weighbridge used in crown court cases to get convictions, so weights and measures accurate to letter of law.

So my calc's say weight distribution for my car is 58/42 front to rear,
or calc to 2 decimal places 58.23/41.77.

Completely useless info, but I'm into sharing.....
Oh and I replaced my front hubs today, wasn't that fun, even busted a nail.
took a heap of pics and will write how to with step by step pictorial over
next few days.......

I have to be pushing above 1600kg(for the car have actually lost a fair bit of weight living in kyrguzstan as not one fast food place here)
Anyway two big sub boxes,2 amps, a bag full of tools in the boot and at least 10kg of cabels then there is the 18" and I think mine would be close to 50/50 maybee 53/47 as most gear is in the boot.
Although I did loose about 5-10kg on the exhaust so may be close to 54/46.
Nice info and great to know.
Hey mine has a sunroof so does that make mine a few kg's lighter.

LOL at Mitchy, its a bastard of a job, but when that drive spline & hub seperated finally, it let go with a bang (if I wasn't a Lady, I'd tell you about the skidmarks) then getting the hub out of the carrier was fun too (thats what busted the nail) took 5 hours to do the first side, just on 2 to do the second. But there done, with new RDA rotors and green stuff pads... wahoo its stops now, doing the rear hubs next weekend - I must be sado/masocistic.

ahh.. but that satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself makes it all worth it, right? :p

that's what i told myself when i ripped out the gearbox 4 times, did the timing belt, and whatever else i've removed vital layers on skin on.

Sort of, it was being quoted $430 for OEM by local Mitsubishi dealer and wanting $515.00 in labour to do each corner on the front, so I did it myself, I replaced both hubs I bought them from the states, got slotted and dimpled rotors and green stuff pads from Hipsi, it cost me less to do both myself with everything as it would have for local dealer to just replace 1 only hub....... That was my motivation... plain & simple greed. and I'll be saving even more to do the rears..... They want $513 for each of the rear hubs.....Theives

and that is why i haven't been to a mechanic since i killed my first clutch.
the money i've saved on labour has covered the all the tools/bandaids/alcohol i've required to do the job, and STILL had money left over.. only downside is i now get that many people asking me how to do whatever, or asking me to do it for them, lol.

I'd suggest that its to the councils advantage to have there weighbridge weighing a lil on the heavy side (if you get my drift)

I was surprised by the discrepancy on distribution Left/Right & Front/Rear given how well they actually handle, the AYC system is a engineering masterpiece (even given its flaws - but when its operating correctly, wow)

Or maybe its time to contact weightwatchers Andy.... remembering I only weighed the car.

Facelift Manual 400hp VR-4 Legnum
A prefacelift auto should be 1570kg according to Mitsi. Jungles car is a prefacelift manual and weighed 1645kg with him in it, less his 75kg weight it is 1570kg, it apparently should be 1530kg, but the 40kg extra might be due to a few simple things, I'm not sure on the exact specs that Jungle has though? IE Sunroof, heavy wheels, leather, etc?

Kat - if you were sitting in the car I bet it would be quite a bit closer in overall weight distribution. You should weigh it again with yourself in it to see what effect it has. Ohh and uhh (no easy way to ask this) how heavy are you? :p

Weighed mine on the truck weigh bridge at Hudson Creek (near the industrial estate) got some interesting results and unfortunately only had a single lane of pads so couldn't do left & right comparison. Same deal as Kat... no luggage, full of fuel & fluids:

Front 980 Kg
Rear 580 kg
Total 1560kg

Some thoughts on this... the rear I can understand being lighter with my car being a sedan. But the front... hmmm; 60kg heavier than Kat's and we both have autos. I also noticed one of the pads was out by 20kg to the others. So I got another two readings which were consistent.
