Weird stuff from your car..

hey folks.. just wanna know.. do you hear, smell or see anything weird coming from your car? I mean nothing that may cause damage to your car.. but silly enough to be there either all the time or just sometimes..

with mine.. there are 2

1. after a typical normal service (engine oil change) you'd normally start the car right? but with mine, if i have the A/C on and start the car.. it'll smoke like hell.. as in whitish greyish smokeout of the exhaust.. but when i turn the A/C off.. it'll go away.. weird, lol.. I'm pretty sure oil didnt get anywhere near the exhaust or intake.. idle ist at 650rpm.. or around 700rpm+ when A/C is on..

2. after driving and turning off the engine.. i'd hear clicking sounds near the mid-rear section of the car.. what could it be?!

I get the same thing, especially after a spirited drive. Wouldn't have a clue what it is

when i start my car, and put it in gear, i get horrible grinding noises and it doesnt move...

there is almost metal shavings/chunks on the sump plug... what could it be?

#1 is stange but shouldn't be effected by the aircon

#2 is things expanding/changing shape such as exhaust, brakes and parts that flex and heat up. you will find if you give the car a real hiding it will do it worse.

the clicking i think is around the alternater section, if it is i get it too, its not the cooling/expanding contracting sound.

my clicking noise is around the mid-rear right section of the car.. i tried to look for it.. first I thought it's the exhaust.. then 2nd i thought something to do with the fuel lines.. then i said to myself 'forget it'

I took off from home today (first time driving it since getting it home) and the "TCL off" "(ABS)" and "ASC" lights all came on and wouldnt go away. Turned the car off, waited a minute, turned it back on, all gone and didnt come back.. THAT was wierd

I was talking to you about it but maybe anyone else got the same sound. When i am driving from 80 to 110 km/h it sounds a bit like a boxer engine. Only when i am accelerating. And after 110 its disappears. The car is not shattering and there is no leak. I am sure i would be able to see a leak.

And my clock is playing. Its sometimes doesnt shown at all. Do u guys think it could be just a wire?

Taraska the clock issue is common as hell, mines got it too so i didnt bother i just put my SAFC up there infront of it lol... but yeah resolder the connections and it will work a charm. do a search for it if you like, 60 billion posts about it As for the boxer engine sound, perhaps a couple of your cylinders arent firing correctly? i know that a mate of mine disconnected one of his so he was running on 3 cyls (on an old 4cyl), and it sounded alot like that too haha

I'm definately not what id call anything close to a mechanic, so my diagnosis could be completely wrong. Any good mechanic should be able to tell you as soon as they hear the noise, and any good mechanic wont charge you to come for a test drive and give you an idea of what it could be. thats what i always do anyway

Sounds like a bit of a drumming noise? Only happens at really low revs tho?
If it is the same as me i thing it is just the sound of the engine bogging down a bit.
