what part has to be broken to cause this

went and fitted my evo brake master cylinder today, (used item)

and it seemed to be going fine until the brake wouldnt release.
the pressure kept bluiding up in the calipers when depressing the brake,

but the pressure would not come off, to the point where you could no longer push the pedal down, and the brakes were locked on.

refitted and bleed the old master cylinder and its back to normal.

so what would cause this in the master cylinder?

This might sound silly... (Yes Wayne, but whilst your on a roll, ask anyway), are the buckets in the master brake cylinder in the right way?

Had a similar issue with another type of car. They almost locked..... as they were put on the piston the wrong way....
