what the hell is this

does anyone have a clue what this is for, its sat with two tubes coming out of it and this electric connector what isnt plugged into anything. hope someone knows

its next to the battery the black rubber tubes coming out of it head into the engine what i can remmember its about 2 inchs long . cheers

It's probably some sort of solenoid. Maybe boost control?

Or it could be a sensor of some sort?

i will have to do it tommorrow mate its to dark to get a good picture. i will try to get pictures of where the tubes end up aswell.

everything seems to run ok. i was hoping to find out if it could cause problems at somepoint with it not been connected cheers.

I don't think I have seen a similar plug on my VR4 so I would assume it is something that has been added but more pics will help tomorrow

yeah its weird i havent seen it on any other cars like ours, its one of those things what just plays on my mind where if i could get it doing what its supposed to do, it might improve something or if its been disconnected cause it restricts something.

they both go to the engine and it looks like there is no residue in the tubes so it might be some air control.

I assume they may be pressure transducers of some sort. Where are they connected to on the engine

one goes to the front right under the filler cap to a very small metal pipe under 1 inch long the other is joined to another pipe what goes to cicular top thing underneath the other pipe then to the back of the engine what looks very similar to the other circular thing

Well as far as I know there is only one pipe on each wastegate and you appear to have 2 . does the other one have 2 connections as well. Hopefully somebody else will be along soon to clear it up
