Alistair
Sup guys, I'm Alistair. I prowl around South Auckland, New Zealand and have owned my double headache for about 7ish months now.
I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to get myself into the VR4 mess, but hey, can't turn back time now aye haha.
I've been a member of thugvr4- I mean ozvr4 for quite some time, but never really piped up as I mostly use the guides to keep myself from cocking something up on Shag.
My wagon, named the "SMS" meaning "Single Mum Special", as my sister calls it. I named it Shagnum, and will eventually nab the plate "SHGNUM" but that's a grand I'd rather spend on something else at the moment lol #financialmistake
It's a '97 vr4 Legnum dumped out on BC Gold juddies, Diezel Drifts at 17x8 with 215/45 Nitto NT555s. She rides really well and handles like a go kart, however I've had endless issues with it. I won't go into detail but she's a total lemon, however recently thanks to great help from good friends Craig, Daniel and Justin, she's now running 100% mint and I couldn't be happier. The struggle was worth it.
She started as an auto with a few issues. She's now manual converted (rebuilt box). I replaced the fuel pump with a walbro 225l/h, replaced injectors and plugs, gave it a full service and so on. It's had a relentless shudder which I won't explain too much because it's not the usual, rebuilt and replaced the entire drivetrain incl. all three diffs, new engine (2000 FL) and all that's left now is to replace engine mounts and clean the tps. Mostly procrastination keeping me from doing those haha, I'll get there though.
Hope this covers most of my headache
Nice to meet you guys, I hope to buy many parts and spend lots of money on things I probably shouldn't be spending money on.
