Dont know what offset is? CLICK ME

->worried bout brembo fitment? its not really offset but more spoke design. check with your chosen wheel manufacturer about low disk and high disk fitments etc

-> Re: facelift flairs/fitment: these fitment are specified for non flaired vr4's even though flaired pictures may hav been used. please refer to the diagram below regarding flairs and how much "extra" clearance they give you. note: i put "extra" in quotes as flairs dont actually give u extra space (especially if you wish to lower your vr4)

guardq.jpg

as you can see, flairs actually decrease the amount of space availble in inside the guard, but it is fixable, the inner lips of the guard must be removed and the guard rolled

OK:

Basic wheel fitment (read: aussie / LEGAL (lol) / tempe spec fitment)

Diameters: 16, 17, 18, 19 inches

Widths: 7, 7.5, 8

Offsets: +45 +44 +43 42 +41 +40

Notes: These offsets and widths will fit easy but u will be rep'in the sunken wheel look. 8" +45 may mince inside suspension arms. shouldnt be any need for rear guard work camber mod done or not

Known combination's to work: everything

Side Note: For those of you concerned about legality but still want to fill your guards with a 8 inch rim, you will be needing something like a 8inch width and a +10 to +20 offset. This is rather uncommon and expensive, so you ca either fork out the cash, buy sunken rims or rock out hard style by reading on further

Flush/Aggressive Wheel Fitment

Diameters: 17 18 19

Widths: 8 8.5 9

Offsets: +40 +39 +38 +37 +36 +35 +34 +33 +32

Notes: evo wheels fall into this catagory. if u lower your car, yes u may/will hav to roll your rear guards, although stock hieght should be fine

most pics below are of lowered cars. take this into consideration. more low= more camber = wider wheels

Known combinations to work:

evo 7 rims: 17x8 +38
evo 8 rims: same
evo 9 rims: same http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/4348/ozvr4headeruv3.jpg
evo X(10) rims: 18x8.5 +38 http://thegspot.orconhosting.net.nz/Legnum-VR4/Evo X/fitted/x8.JPG

Goddamn. I was hoping, in the event that I sold the Magna and got a Legnum/Galant, I could swap my Enkei RP03s straight over.

Probably not by the looks of it, 19x8.5 +38 with one pair 245/35R19s and one pair 245/40R19s... she's gonna need some guard rolling methinks! Not selling them, I bought them for too good a price and they're too damn sexy.

the rims will most probably fit, tyres on the other hand, you'd want a 225 or 235 methinks, im not the tyre guy tho lol

OK. wish me luck in selling the Magna then :D problem is, 2 of those tyres are near-new and very expensive Bridgestone RE050As. I'm surprised they won't fit, since a 245/40R19 is an inch larger in overall diameter than a 225/55R16 according to the Miata tyre calculator, and when you look at the factory wheel/tyre combo there's a lot of space in there? ah well

9.5 +35 Wouldn't need custom work, as such. Rear would only need a good roll, front may require a small flare. They sit 9mm further out than a 9 +38, which is known to fit with minor rolling on the rear when lowered quite a lot.

Of course, this all depends on ride height and subsequently induced camber.

9.5 +22 will need lots of flaring of the guards, Athid should be onto it....

The problem is the width of the tyre, not so much the height. They'd still fit if you had enough low (and therefore enough natural camber) but it would be easier with a 225 or (if you want cheaper tyres) 235. You'd also run into problems with running different tyres with different wear front to rear, so would be best to change them to new ones anyway.

EDIT - this relates to the 19s. It made sense before Joel posted.

I've had a think about it and I'll probably sell the RP-03s and find some 18s instead.

Yes they fit, i think the offset is quite high tho, so prob best for a Type-V or Pre-Facelift.

What Scott said. I wouldn't run them on a facelift with wheel arch flares.

**sigh**
Tempe spec fitment for a legnum - 18x7 +45 and will sit WAY to far in on a pre-facelift legnum, and will look like 100% ass on a facelift.

Take it from me (my Galant came in with 17x7.5 +42) - they'll look terrible.

Now please, let that be the last question about VRX rims.
