Just the edge of the rim will be 33.4mm further out, and at stock height there is very little/no negative camber.
It wont touch the guards under compression as our cars have a double wishbone setup that gives a lot of negative camber under compression, however they may stick out a little at stock ride height.

Not a massive choice of suitable wheels here so 18" x 8.0 +32 or 18" x 8.0 +40 ?

Look like old CR Kai's, could probably sell them for a fair bit for the upgrade ;)

Should have a heap of clearance - mine is lowered on high spoke clearance Work CR Kiwami's. 18x8.5 +38, with 235/40/18 tyres.
Godspeed control arms and some camber adjustment helps, but you shouldn't need it for the size you're looking at :)

Hey all, just need a bit of advice.
18x9 +35 235 40 18 all around.
Will have coilovers to lower.
Will this fitment need any further mods?
What's the best offset for 18 inch rims 9 inches wide with 235 40 tires without having to do any guard work?

I've had 18x9 +36, with 235/40r18's on my facelift for ever, the tyre/inner rim just lightly touches on the inside at the front on full lock.
And the rear just touched the guard when the rear wheel is stuffed way up in the wheel arch, but not anymore so it must have self clearanced.
So very little if any guard work if it's a facelift, maybe a little guard roll if it is a pre facelift.

Thanks. It's a pre face-lift. Fender roll is all I was thinking should be enough. Plus will only be dropping right by the Fenders not looking for stance but a bit of low and widest usable rim and tire combination.

Im.guessing no. I had 17x9 +30 and they were pretty close to the hub carrier. They fit with 255/45/17 tyres but half an inch wider with 5mm less offset youd be best to test fit.
