After a good solid degrease, I noticed this:

Where the hell is that supposed to fix to?

Don't ask why it's undone, I have no idea, this car's been poked by a few too many third parties...

I don't think it's supposed to be there. Looks foreign.

I sure haven't fitted it. Looks to be some kind of earth strap, I presume fixed to the block itself. Where the other end goes, well I was in too much of a hurry to trace it back. Got me stumped.
