Hey guys,

My name's Ryan and I've been lurking around ozvr4 for a little while now and have been a member of cvr4 for a couple of years.

I own a '97 Galant VR4 in trigger mauve, manual with a sunroof and black leather interior :)

I have owned her for just over 2 years now and so far have done the following mods:

HKS panel filter
3" catback exhaust
600x300x76 fmic
Turbosmart boost tee
D2 adjustable coilover suspension
Evo brembos/discs
19x8.5 +38 buddyclub P1 racing II plus

I've found the forum really useful so far and hope to learn some more of you aussie blokes!

I don't have any recent photos with the brembos, exhaust and fmic on my work pc, but here are a few pictures of my VR4 after a clean from December last year:

Welcome Ryan.

You're right, Aussies DO know how to do up a car properly and this place has HEAPS of great info :D

Welcome, nice combo! I'm sure there'll be some love for the P1's too

Welcome mate.

Do like the rims, bronze would have been just that bit more awesome.

Welcome Ryan, nice ride n im also jealous that u have a pfl with Brembo brakes, what did u need to do to get this done

Cheers Jeff

Thanks guys!

@ Paul, I quite like the bronze ones also, I might think about switching to an 18" wheel with a better offset, unfortunately I bought the P1s before I installed my brembos thinking the +38 offset would be enough to clear the brembo calipers which it didn't so I ended up having to use spacers on the front hubs :(

@ Jeff, if I recall correctly, brembo 5-9 calipers bolt straight onto facelift hub carriers, all I did was purchase a pair of front facelift hub carriers with ABS sensors intact and replaced my pre facelift hub carriers with them.

The brembos pretty much bolted straight up with very little modification (I remember having to remove the rear dust shields and also having to get shorter caliper bolts for the front calipers)

*edit*

Actually, I may have got new caliper bolts all together but I can't remember... I'm sure someone will be able to clear this up

ahh the old offset = brake clearance trick....ozvr4 would have told you otherwise lol

Looks good mate, welcome aboard

Welcome, mate! You've got a great-looking car there :)
