Widest Wheels

Hi guys,

I am new to the forum and picked up a 96 Legnum. I was wondering what is the widest width allowable on the Legnums before rubbing?

I'm currently looking at a set of 17 x 9 +35 offset will this work?

Thank you much!

Probably depends a bit on what tyres you run, but 9s will usually rub on the inside.

A Legnum is a very rare thing in the States. Great to have you with us :)

Hi mate,

Have a read through THIS thread.... I'm pretty sure its linked in the Index too so you should've had a look there first as per the rules haha ;)

Pretty sure with some guard rolling you'll get them on but it'll be tight! :D

And do an intro thread with some pics of your car! Its pics or ban around here you know hehe

*EDIT - Chef is right with the tyres too, i think you'll only get away with STREEEEEEEETCHED 225's

Hey guys thanks! I looked through the post, but might have missed it. I did read on Club VR4 that guys are running 17 x 8.5 with a 35 offset. I'll wing it and see how she feels.

I'll post up a intro in the new section :)

9 +35 will be fine. 3mm further out than mine. Easy as ;)

You will need a roll all 'round if the car is low.

Welcome aboard.

I've got 17x9.5" 35mm offset with 235/45/17 tyres. No problems once the guards were rolled.

Yes, but the tires are coming off I wanted to test fit the wheels to see if they look okay. I was going to pick up a set of Work Emotion Kai or Model 5's and he said he had a set of Model 5 look a likes lying around.

Here's a pic down the side.

I have a set of factory flares, side skirts and facelift bumper so it hopefully it will take up the amount that is sticking out.

Size is 18 x 9 35mm

Just so you know the rear wheel arch flares won't line up with the rear bumper properly. Have a close look at some facelift cars, they have a little flare on the corner there.

Jeez, I'm blushing here! :ROFLMAO:

As has already been said, they'll fit great with lowering introducing a bit of camber.
