Im thinking about building a forged motor next year so I can run NOS, but as we all know there are no off the shelf piston and rod kits. Im not a Mitsubishi expert but are the blocks of the and the 6g72 and the 6a13tt the same?

Will the internals fit our blocks or can they be fitted with some small mods?

A 3.0 forged stroker will be awsom if possible.

The blocks are very different as are the bottom ends. As for whether they can be made to fit I'm not sure.

Go for the 6g73 and 6g74 engine. To stick into the 6A13 block.
Of the top of my head.
Use the pistons from one, they are 85mm.
Conrods of the other are 76mm.
Will also give you the same displacement, so will you say it is a stroked motor?
Normally a stroked motor gives you more displacement.

I an never keen to stick water in a engine, once rebuilt. So I use this formula =)
BORE (in cm) X BORE (in cm) X STROKE (in cm) X .7854 = Cylinder cc's
*This formula on works on straight cylinders, tapers are a bit different.

Umm the bore on a 3000GT engine is 10mm wider......I doubt you'll be able to take 5mm of meat out per bore.
6G73 is a 2.5L aswell so that's pointless using any of those parts.

I wouldnt worry that much, get a set of forged pistons and rods made up, whack on some bigger turbos and a better fuel system and off you go...
if your THAT keen, start with a 380 engine, get some MIVEC heads from the USA, forge engine, turbo charge, and you'll have a nice 3.8L that should scream to 8000RPM+
Ya know, if you got a spare $15K or so laying around at a bare minimum.
