Hi guys...

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

Name's Michael, from south east suburbs in Victoria... Currently a Nissan Silvia owner but decided I needed something a little more comfortable to drive daily and to tow the Sil to track days.

Ended up picking up a white '99 VR4 TypeS Legnum through Kristian (IronChef Imports) which should be landing in Melbourne on the 16th of May.

Going to be an interesting experience... First wagon, first awd car, first twin turbo car too. Fun fun!

Here is the info on the IronChef site, and the pics.

Hope to make this my second home.

Cheers.

Got to love the crispness of the white especially with Black Windows. Nice Lookin example of a VR4, welcome Michael, I bet you cant wait to have those keys.

Those tyres that are on the car are winter tyres. I doubt the car will get through compliance with them, but it might go through with the tyres that are in the boot.

A few members have had things swiped from their cars, I'd suggest putting the summer tyres on the car.

Nice looking car by the way, just make sure that you get a trans cooler for when you're towing.

Thanks for that... Yeah I know... Antsy as anything. Did it once before when I imported the Silvia, but this looks like it might go a bit quicker. I think I waited 5 months until I had it registered so alot quicker then.

I'll probably get the tyres replaced anyway. I've budgeted for something decent, and will prefer to get it out of the way now, then later on down the track.
:)

And yeah, something I was worried about last time, was having all the good stuff from the car swiped. I was surprised it went through the docks with everything still there, so I can only hope the same happens this time.

welcome mate, if you get those snow tires they are good fun to thrash around on.lol lots of side wall movement.

Woohoo! Car landed yesterday, and paid the fees today so hopefully the process picks up a little bit.
:D

lol - must be going smoothly then, they didn't even contact me!

Speak to "snickells" on here, Michael, he has a heap of stickers with him over your way.

Cheers
Kristian

Seems to be... Just waiting on the compliance joint to get in touch... How long does it sit at customs for?

IronChef stickers? Kick arse... Will look good on the back window.

EDIT: Wait... Did you mean IronChef stickers or OzVR4 stickers? Heh

Was wondering the same thing....

Welcome aboard Michael, good to hear that it got here ok!

He has had a number of major life changes in the last few months, so has been pretty busy off the forums. If you PM him, he will reply. That's for my stickers, and same goes for any other Vic members who need one - I've left a fair few with him.

No worries... I'll get in touch with him then Kristian... Thanks for that.

And thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Haha I'd love to Derek. Unfortunately Legnum isn't here and the Silvia is in the garage on stands for an unforseeable amount of time. :ROFLMAO:

I'm resorted to mooching rides off my girlfriend and stealing her car when I can.
