Leaving Skid Marks
Hey everyone,
I’ve read a lot of guides and information on calibration, but my issue is that it never makes it much above a quarter of the line on the fuel gauge. It does appear to have full range of motion as I removed the needle and put it at full when filling the tank and it seemed to move normally over the next day, though this disabled the light for the needle and the oil temp since they are wired in series. After learning of the way it operates by measuring resistance, is it possible I have a bad connection somewhere and if so, how do I test? Can I do any troubleshooting to find out if it is wiring vs the float or something else?
I’ve used the site a bunch to solve all sorts of things, but I’m coming up empty for this one and it’s driving me nuts. Some help would be greatly appreciated! Image attached; it gets above this, but causes me anxiety and I usually fill here.
