where can i get 5mm spacers from for our cars? i think i might risk it and try and if they dont fit ill have to try sell the tyres as the seller wont seperate them for sale :(

If you're only test fitting for now, I'd just get a cheap set of universal spacers from ebay, local shop, etc... If you decide to go that route you may wish to get extended studs and hub centric spacers later on just in case, but may not be necessary. My Subaru has universal 5mm spacers in the rear with extended studs and never had issues.

To be honest it might be okay because you have a PFL with no flares but saying all that, I had a '99 galant that had flares and lowered on coilovers with evo7 wheels 235/45-17 tyres and never rolled guards and never had scraping but know a few people with the same setup as mine and experience scraping so you might be okay and you might not be.

If you wanna be safe and less headache if you experience it, might be worth rolling them since your saying your car is really low.

Finally have these on, I've been trying to lower seized coilovers and only was able to break one collar loose so far... But they fit, with zero room to spare in the rear unless I run a spacer. Very little poke, butbonce it's lower that won't be an issue.

Wheels: Enkei NT03-M 18x9.5 +40

Finally got coilovers unseized, front is as low as it can go (Tanabe Sustec pro) and the rear still needs to be lowered. Will probably look for a more adjustable set eventually...
Not happy with these tires, I want more sidewall but they are 225/40/18 stretched over 18x9.5+40 NT03's. Fairly certain they clear in the rear but I may add a 5mm spacer just to be safe. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure the 17x8 (45offset) with 225/45-17 tyres will work (EVO rims are 17x8 38offset)
the 245/40-17 (45offset) with 17x9 I think will hit the inner control arm and 245 tyre won't help probably make it worst.
Well that's my opinion.

Because I had a set of 18" on a Legnum that was
Front 18x8 (40offset)
Rear 18x9 (50offset)
Both wheels had 225/40-18 tyres but the rears needed 15mm spacers, I personally hated the look, I think more I hated spacers and said I would never get wheels on a VR4 that needs spacers.

So if your rears are 17x9 (45offset) more than likely need spacers.

The guy i brought them from advertise them as 17x8 and no metion the other two were 17x9 in the ad.
Quickly loaded in the boot without having a good look.

Finally fitted some wheels on my 98 galant.

Mrs crashed her subie so i took her 18x8.75 +36 XXR's. The back fits perfectly with the camber and coil setup the prev owner had.

The fronts however poke soooooo much. Gonna lower the car a little more (adjustable coilovers on the front) and its gonna look so aggressive

These are what my son is shopping for exactly. It's for a PFL standard height with stock brakes.
He's saying going from 16 BBS wheels 16 x 6 +46 to 17"s should improve handling and open up a larger range of tyres. I have a chunk taken out of my rear wheel when I had new tyres fitted (thanks Continental!) and CBF'd fighting about it now.
Can anyone tell me what width and offset I should be searching for in regards to Enkei Evo 17's?

99 Galant vr4 type s (auto),10 Grand Cherokee Overland(auto),91 Rodeo (350 chev th350auto).
The stock evo 7 wheels are 17x8 +38, the front might be a little pokey on a stock height pfl though.
