Air Compressor/Conditioning Problems

Just the other day i started my vr4 up and turned air con on.... very shortly after before i even got the chance to drive off the hear a hissing noise and all the air con gas is releasing out a valve on the compressor, apparently its meant to be a safety mechanism when the pressure gets too high. Took it to an a/c specialist and all they did was regas and gave advice on ot leading air on on while turbo timer was running etc, 1 week later exact thing happened less the $150 i spent on the regas.

Anyone know the price of a new air compressor or have had a similar issue, tends to happen in really hot weather 33-40 degrees.

Any advice would be appreciated.

i used to have my a/c on while the timer's running.. never had problems with it..

could it be possible that there's something inside the a/c line?

if it's a broken ac compressor sit down for this. I just had mine replaced for $1500 but that's new, most people recommend to go new because of the install costs you dont want an old one dying in six months.

It seems the compressor runs fine its the pressure valve on it that just lets go, im assuming it has to do with the Hot weather because its never happened before, wonder if you can get the valves fixed or whether a whole new compressor is in order.
