Let me know if you want a hand with the PCB stuff. Still need to get to you with that website design stuff as well...

hehe, i was going to ask you about that... i might need my schematic checked before I design a board.

Update to BCXMOD:

  • Valet Mode confirmed working
  • Output Mod 1 & 2 confirmed working
  • CEL on Knock (ksmod port) confirmed working
  • LC (ksmod port) in testing (should be OK, but just testing it as i had to mod code slightly to work with my code)
  • Antilag (ksmod port) in testing (should be OK, but just testing it as i had to mod code slightly to work with my code)
  • NLTS (ksmod port) unable to test as I don't have clutch switch.
  • Wideband Scaling - Code written, untested.
  • Live Tuning works, my C# app is more the problem at the moment - unstable on a few things. Hopefully Kenneth can find some bugs with mode code to make it a bit more stable.
  • FuelFlex - started this a few weeks ago, have been working on this. Almost at a stage for Steve to test the alpha as I don't have a flex sensor. Have been simulating 0-5v on bench ECU to test scaling and interpolation working.

to-do:
  • Switchable maps (need to determine best way of integrating this with other features)
  • Hijack Inputs - code written, but it's not complete
  • Immobiliser mod - have found some OEM code I can hijack for this.
  • Speed Density

Is valet mode going to be available from a switch somewhere or do you have to access the software each time?

From my understanding it is switched on or off by turning the car on and off 3 times while above a certain throttle percentage (or something along those lines)

Edit: Details of how this works are on the first page

BTW, good work Bill - Impressive stuff

Yep, what he said :p

Customise what you want the behaviour to be, then flash it. Whatever you set the parameters to is how you toggle it on/off.

So some might want to only limit RPM, others might not want throttle input to toggle, maybe you want 5 on/off toggle it... it's flexible in it's setup!

If you want a hidden switch, might make that a feature of next version...

Would it be difficult to have it shut the boost solenoid off aswell in valet mode so only runs gate pressure (7psi) ontop of rpm limit. ?
Or would this require dual maps?

This is very interesting. Great work so far.

I'm very keen on speed density. I run SD on my e39 VR4. Works a treat and great for cleaning up piping...

Any news on this Bill? By the way, forgive my ignorance, what are NTLS, speed density and hijack inputs?

Think it should be NLTS "no lift to shift" ?

Speed density being for MAFless operation or rather MAP sensor if i'm not mistaken...

I'm waiting for steve to get injectors and wiring adaptors, so i can test Flex. KSmod will be included in the flex rom.

Also, updated the typo in my post... Chris is right, it's NLTS...

Sweet, so any idea when this might be available to use? What are the hijack inputs for?

Sounds like taking an existing ECU feed and "hijacking" it to instead read the output from the FlexFuel sensor. But that's just my best guess.
