I am going down the same path at the moment.

Is the insert stuffed or the actual mount?

Whats the go my rubber just carcked it to. Drivers side only the other one is fine.

You have 4 so it would be worth checking them all.

I imagine the engine mounts have a ~100,000k life and we are just reaching that.

Yeah not even @ 60k here, checked all mounts all ok but will replace all anyway. Can't believe there's no other alternatives out there.

I'm sure you could take the mounts out and to pedders or similar and get new rubber ones pressed in.

Eurathane is cooler though :P

im going to be replacing with rubber - i (personally/for myself) dont see the benefit of the eurathane in a car thats driven on the road

So is there a part number for a genuine rubber? as I have just replaced the lower front and rear roller stoppers and the gearbox is STILL sitting on the cross member!!!!

Any details about the options anywhere????

According to ASA you want a "MR198377" "BRACKET,ENG FR MOUNTING"

But they are very expensive. You are best to get an insert from the USA

I would also check that the crossmember has not just been bent by having a jack put on the wrong place and bending it upwards

any info on this?

I've been looking for ages, and I cant find this info....heaps of people talking about it, but no info or links???

I'm over 218,000kms now & no knowledge of the engine mounts being touched at all. Definately not in my ownership which was 75,000kms ago.

Should I be looking at doing it ?

Not until you hear the engine knocking against things or until someone tells you they are stuffed.

Worth taking a look at them at the very least. Always good to know what's going on with your car.
