Just a quick note for anyone looking to touch up or repaint original Evo Enkei wheels in silver.
There's a few variants around, Sonic Silver YD8 which is a Honda and Nissan colour and Alabaster Silver, also available as a Dupli colour, Magnetic Silver spray can or made up at a paint shop. Paint can code is DST57
After sanding and filling if required, bare alloy should be etched with something containing phosphoric acid. This is crucial for the primer to adhere to.
There is a good product called Blitz Alumium cleaner by Chemtech that will properly etch the wheel surface for the primer to adhere to. In addition to that I also apply an etching primer and then the base coat.
The etch primer will require a good overnight dry before applying the Magnetic Silver.
On drying it will look a little light but it does come good once the clear coat is applied.
