Hahah they have a few diff flavours at the one I go to! The thing I hate is, usually you can't eat for about an hour or two.. It's only during that time that I get VERY hungry!

Agree Paul.

I was only at the dentist last week and they gave me some kind of berry flavoured flouride foam. I figure that's the least they could have done seeing as they recently pulled 4 of my wisdom teeth!

How much is it to get wisdom teeth out? Totally not looking forward to that day when I get wisdom teeth issues :(

I haven't been to the dentist since I was 11. My teeth are perfect and I don't have any fillings :)

The surgeon's fee for me was $1,400 to remove 4 wisdom teeth.

Then you've got to pay the fee for anesthetic, post op pain killers etc.

The bad news is that the specialist told me that most people will need their wisdom teeth removed at some stage in their lives. Apparently, our jaws just aren't big enough for the number of teeth that we grow throughout our lives.

Make sure you've got private health insurance!

Fixed. ;)

I'm not rich & I've already had 1 wisdom tooth out just this month, with the remaining 3 to be done by oral surgeon. It won't be cheap, but needs to be done.

Bruce - You're right on the money there. The one I had pulled out was pushing against my other teeth as there's not enough room for it to come down. It was giving me the WORST migraines & unbareable pain!!!! :cursing:

I passed out though afterwards from the big loss of blood that happened afterwards

I had my 4 wisdoms out 2 weeks ago under general anaesthetic. Cost around $2.5k all up with a small portion claimable through Medicare. If you don't need a general (ie just use the chair) then you can claim the whole shebang under Medicare if you have a "helpful" GP, and even if not it's only around $300 per tooth on average.

I didn't have a filling but now I need one, a hole had formed because my wisdom teeth had grown up against the other molar and I couldn't even get floss in between. Damn thing is a raw hole right now and hurts like buggery.

I paid $235 for a clean lol. I only need one filling. I was told it's not 100% necessary but recommended.

Good dentist too, he didn't bother pushing with spending money (I guess he realised I have none!) he told me not to waste money capping the small crack in the top of my front tooth as it'll fall out in a short time and other money saving options.

I can't believe the tartar build up I had behind my front bottom teeth!!! I had no definition between them from the back, it felt like one long flat tooth. Eeeww!
