Leaving Skid Marks
G'day all,
I just purchased a 1998 white auto Legnum the other week with 76K km on the clock. The car was imported in March and was sold to a guy who drove it around on trade plates so I am the first owner to "register" it in Aus. It's the "povo spec" (no options like momo steering wheel, recaro seats, hi vis dash, etc, etc) but the price was right so I thought why not. I really wanted a manual with the momo wheel and the recaro seats but the only 1 I found in a year of looking was sold before I could get the cash together. Naturally of course 2 days after I purchased this one another one came up with the seats and the wheel (still auto though) but wanted a lot more than what I paid for mine so I'm still happy.
As far as I can tell it's mostly original (might have an aftermarket exhaust and looks to have been lowered) and seems to be pretty clean, hasn't been mucked with or hooned by a noob. The body is fairly straight with only a few small (5c piece) shallow dents and 2 pretty bad stone chips on the bonnet. The inside looks like new though which is nice, even with the funky jap spec radio. Engine makes no funny noises and pulls like a train! A completely different beast to my 88 MX-6 turbo, the Legnum much more refined and easier to live with day to day. Auto box seems fine, just installed a trans cooler yesterday and plan to have the fluid flushed and changed as soon as I get paid.
I haven't taken any new pics (waiting until after I wash/polish it) so here's the ones from the ad. Don't pay any attention to the "sports" steering wheel, it now has a wood rimmed Nardi Torino which it needed to pass roadworthy (another reason I bought it as it came with the roadworthy).
Anyway here are the pics
