    Hi ^^

My name is Daniel, im from Germany (Duisburg, NRW) and my drive is a Mitsubishi Galant V6 24V 2.5l (non TwinTurbo) :(

In Germany the Galant VR-4 is legendary, i´ve never found someone who can get a VR-4 to Germany......until now :D

In 2008 im plannig to import a VR-4
It should be a 98 or 99 VR-4 Type-S Sedan in black or triggermauve

Im interested to get the Dolphin front bumper too... but i really want to know what kind of material the bumper is, FRP or ABS!?

    Daniel

Thats a very nice looking car. There is one UK member that is living in Germany and driving his RHD VR-4 in Germany at the moment. Apart from that I don't know of any others.

    thanks for the comms :)

its very expensive to import a vr4 to germany
you have to pay 10% duty and 19% taxes on the car and transportcosts,
you need an individual cetification for the car, an emissions test (2000€=3.357AUD)
a light test for traffic on the right side (900€=1.510AUD)
every part has to be registered in the carcertification (1000€=1.678AUD)

i could buy 2 additional vr4s for the money im paying for all the tests :(

but i have some friends... its much cheaper with their help.... "just" 2000€ for everything... except the taxes

Beautiful motor, Daniel - just like mine...

Love your twin VR4 style front fogs... I've got mine on order from Japan!

Good luck with getting a VR4 in 2008!

/looks out to the garage and sees a 2002 Monaro and a BMW 850CSi and ponders that statement :)

Dirk - how common are BMW 8-series over there? I bet you see lots of 850i/Ci and 840i/Ci, but not many 850CSi's :D

no, because I know how common commodores are over in Aus!I would imagine 3 series and 5 series BMW's would be like commodores over here.

@SiliconAngel: sure, i tought about turbo charging, but just an original is legal :D
in germany the vr4 (right-handed) would be an eyecatcher

@HMG1K: thank you ^^ i was looking for a black coloured galant, but they are very rare.... im very jealous

it funny, in germany the elegance looks like this one :)
    and our version calls "avance"
