Loving this forum so far, very informative.
I don't own a VR4 yet but am eagerly looking, hoping to find a nice Galant soon!

Not new to Jap cars (or euro cars or bikes or forums haha) so I will definitely be writing a build thread to document all the little things I do.

Probably budget a few more grand on top of that if you're looking at spending only $8k, in order to fix the numerous problems it will most likely come with at that price.

lol they come with a myriad of problems at the age they are now almost no matter the price…..

its a tough one, thats for sure. its sad how thrashed a lot of them are, with no owner knowledge of their service history.

yeh its just really a case of age too… at youngest its around a 15 year old car. add everything that usually goes wrong…15 year old struts (or 5/6/7+ year old shit jap coil overs lol not sure which its worse), engine mounts having decent amounts of torque put through them for 15 years, old fuel pumps, old timing belts old coil packs. add two turbos instead of one and two diffs and a transfer case and ayc lol. lots of good features also means lots of things to go wrong too. sometimes the good old front or rear wheel drive non turbo formula is great to keep it simple. They're still fantastic cars though if expensive to keep.
