Like a few others I have been lurking on this forum for years. It's been a great resource for info on my Legnum and has helped me to make a few mods, as well as consider what mods I would like in the future.
This is actually my second Legnum, my first was a black, 96 manual. I think it was a Type S as it had AYC.
My current car is a 2001 manual, again a Type S I believe.
When I bought it, it came with gold coloured Tiens, which turned out to be leaking in the back (and I am guessing had very little or no oil left in them) as my car would bounce dangerously over undulating roads. I later found when I was doing some work on the stereo it had a Defi controller (no gauges), boost sensor in the engine bay and (unfortunately) non-working Apexi AFC. It also came with a HKS pod filter (yes I know everyone thinks these are rubbish).
Since then I have changed the wheels (Rota), exhaust (Fujitsubo), AVCR, boost gauge, FMI, Evo MOMO, Iriduim plugs, ISC Coilovers, Top Gun leads and Walbro.
Next on the list of performance mods are front pipes, hi flow cat, fit my fuel loop and tune. Based on what I have seen with other tuned cars with similar mods I am hoping this will get me over 180kw.
I recently bought some Brembos, but found out with all the bits it's going to be a $1500+ upgrade. I would rather spend the money on making it go faster. Plus I have decent pads Project Mu and TBH I never really drive fast enough to need the additional stopping power. I mainly bought them more for "the look" as the standard brakes look (IMO) silly in behind the Rotas.
Would also be keen at some stage to sort out some cosmetic issues ie front bumper, small dents and swirl marks.
