Looking to buy a VR4, need some info

Hi all, my first post here. I'm looking to buy something a bit more comfy (got a 1971 Datsun 1600 with Z18ET), and I'm thinking about getting a VR4.

Can someone confirm for me:
- only Type-S Galants and Legnums came with AYC
- you can't get a manual Type-S Galant, only a manual Type-V. but you can get a manual Type-S Legnum.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to get a manual Type-S Galant with AYC, but it looks like they don't exist, which leaves me with either a manual Type-V Galant (without AYC?) or a manual Type-S (with AYC) Legnum. (I like changing gears for myself, plus a manual 'box is less likely to break).

also, i'd probably import it through J-Spec - has anybody had dealings with them? how long does it take from when you choose the car, til when it's back in Aus complied and ready to drive?

All of the above is true for facelift VR-4's

If you get a prefacelift however you can get a Galant with AYC

yeah i found the FAQ about importing after i'd posted. as far as the other stuff goes, was just looking for quick confirmation that what i'd read in various places (and here) was correct.

I just sold a black manual Galant, so be quick mate they dont last long, quite rare combo.

That one that the Chef has got cooking is nice and a good price.

Got the extras on it and good auction grade also.

cheers guys, i'm after un-modified manual cars in the following order of preference:
1) face-lifted galant type-v
2) face-lifted legnum type-s
3) pre-facelift galant with AYC

so i'll keep looking and hopefully find something at the right price.
