My South West WA Photo Holiday

A short time ago, my good mate Levi, his girlfriend and I embarked on a 2250km+ journey around WA's South West for a photographic adventure. We been around here before but for other reasons and never had the time to properly take landscapes shots, which is good because, if you hadn't noticed, I usually stick to motorsport/sport/automotive photography.

These are just a few shots I've done (more will be added as I process them).

those second two photos of bunkers are particularly epic. great stuff man

i miss that place, havent been there in so long. we should have like ozvr4 cruise/camp at a yallingup caravan park or somewhere round there. would be awesome. the demand for stock exhausts would be unprecedented

Thanks guys.

Trent, I used a Canon 7D and the Tamron 17-50 never left the front of my camera. So far all except the second Bunker Bay shot are panoramic stitches consisting of about 5-7 images. So in there original form they are huge :)

Nah mate, didn't you see the photos my iphone took on the what rims thread thread?

But seriously Stephen, really very very nice... makes me proud to be living in WA. I love those places, and to see photos like that really captures their beauty.

No Tim, you keep fighting that good fight!

Tripod + photo stitching software but most importantly, composition and lighting (picking the right time of day) works wonders.

Love your work mate :D

Do you do any HDR processing? Wideangle Lenses or..? Just trying to learn :)

Thanks Tom, I very rarely touch HDR, just never really liked the look of them.

I'm not using an Ultra Wide Angle lens as well, these are all (except one) made up of multiple images. Though in certain case I would preferred to use a Wide Angle lens as in certain cases the images would not stitch together properly as the clouds or waves aren't lined up properly (bit of a problem when doing long exposures).
