Impressive effort, but, and there's always a 'but' lol it's not 100% official as they only did 1 run and the Guiness World Records require it to be done twice and then the top speed from both runs is averaged out between the two.

They've also only built 29, not the 30 identical units required for a vehicle to be classified as a production car.

So, technically... the old dinosaur Veyron is still officially the worlds fastest production car.

This made me laugh. It's like Hennessey didn't want the official title. 1 unit short of production and only did 1 run rather than 2.

Seems like a stunt to try and get peoples attention but then surely being the official holder would bring more publicity.

The guy in that crash video said "pretty sure that's a Lambo dude" when talking about the Veyron.

I believe when Taylor was saying "pretty sure that's a Lambo dude" he was referring to the Youtube video quote, only none of us had previously seen said video to understand the reference.

haha and thats the video that landed the driver in big trouble. He was trying to commit insurance fraud but this video damned him apparently
