hmm how could anyone think their car could go around that corner at that speed in the wet confuses me :S

it was more likely the fact that he decided at that time that entering the big slippery grassy area at the start of bend was a "good idea" instead of just slightly more grippy area of tarmac.

but yes, he was going a tad fast lol

That is a UK new VR-4 which means it is badged as a Galant even though it is a Legnum. This was done because Mitsi UK didn't want to have to try and market a completely new name plate.

The vid was posted up some time ago on cvr4, I can't remember who it was though.

Shows that AWD, AYC and all the other electronic nannies doesn't make a car idiot proof ...

Corner entry wasn't too fast, he just turned in too early and hit the grass and started going sideways. Tyres only work in the wet if they are going forward, hence him not stopping before the wall making it look like he was going too quick.

And LOL Bruce, you are right, nothing is idiotproof

From the entry lines it looks like he was going to drift it more then steer around it.

It is of course a VR-4 Matt, it was just badged as a Galant even though it was a wagon.

It isn't really ukdm either, it is a jap car built for japan that flew to england, got a fog light installed and then hit the road.

Whoa, that's still a lot of speed heading into a corner with no dry lines at all.

Unlucky!

considering the speed and severity of the impact into that tyre barrier, the car held up pretty well and suffered a considerably small amount of damage...
