Quick question re DVD player setup

Have replaced the carrozerria (whatever) system in the car with a Kenwood DDX5032 double DIN dvd player. All is fine, except:

It wants a wire spliced into the park brake switch, so the DVD will only work when the handbrake is on.

I dont want this, I want to be able to put crap on the screen for the passengers.

As far as I can see, this leaves 3 alternatives:

1 - don't connect the sucker;
2 - connect it to power (ignition circuit);
3 - earth the sucker.


OK: the question: 1, 2 or 3?

Any help would be appreciated. (Thanks to whoever posted the standard stereo plug wiring - made the rest of the job easy.)

You just need to earth that wire and it will all work. Just make sure if you go past cops that you don't have a video playing. I personally love having music videos going while I drive
