Wats the trick to separate tranafer case from box

Ive got a 98 twinturbo v6 galant having trouble removing transfercase any tips

Pull the shaft out from the gearbox side first.

Make sure you removed both of the half-shafts with a slide hammer because they will hold the case in place otherwise. 10mm threaded bolt into each end.
I was a doo-ey and the mitsi manuals only "show" one of these shafts so I just assumed there was only one on the xfer case side but there is also one on the gearbox side too, which goes through the box and into the transfer case.
