I need to know if the wiring looms for the 6a12tt and the 6a13tt are the same.

crisis: i have a 6a12tt with no wiring loom.

no wreckers have a 6a12tt wiring loom only a 6A13 tt WIRING loom!!!

so my question is, can i use the wiring loom from the 6A13tt?

thanks peoples!!

that would be very hard to find out i think, im not sure if anyone has a wiring diagram to check even, but personally i think they might be similar, both being v6 n 6a variants.. then again i don't really know what im talking about, lol

id be very carefull about this,

pre and post facelift wiring ARE different,
also non-turbo and turbo looms ARE different

so i assume the 6a12 will be aswell....

hmmm....listen to gly, he's da man! lol, n besides most wreckers i know are dodgy, my friend has a onevia (half 180, half silvia) it blew up it's ca18det or something n after that he was dealing with a few wreckers to try n get an sr20, or any replacement really, he went through 6 or 7 engines literally, but i think he finally found a decent wrecker that helped him out n is all sorted now

but point of story is listen to gly, lol

sorry to correct your correction but a onevia is a 180 front on a silvia, as opposed to a sil80 which is the silvia front on a 180 :)

I can't imagine the looms being anywhere near the same. For starters they face the opposite way to each other, so the looms will differ just from that. Sounds like that wrecker was just trying to sell you something he's been unable to sell for ages.

EDIT: Stand corrected. Why in the world would anyone want a 180 front on a silvia anyway???

The USDM S13 240sx coupe came standard as a "onevia" with the 2.4l stanza/bluebird engine I think... no turbo - great chassis, crap engine was the general opinion. It was also sold with the 180sx hatch body.

(sorry to continue the off-topic discussion...)

I think you'll find they're known as "sil80's" Razz ;)

Good luck Anthony!

American's have shit taste in cars but why did the 1via get built?? personally i think both the 180 and silvia look better as separate cars

nevermind, japan always make those weird little cars like "life" n "dunk"

There are guys around who will make a loom for you. Or they can splice a loom into your stock one.

I got a guy to splice a DOHC 24v 6G72 loom from a Diamante into my TR Magna which had a SOHC 12v 6G72 loom, he spliced it all together, made it look completely stock.

It can definitely be done...some jobs harder than others. I'd suggest ringing up performance workshops and seeing who they recommend to do it if they don't do it themselves.

There's an auto electrics & performance specialist in Castlemaine too - they were the only ones in Australia willing to take on the loom for my bro's LS1 to a '74 'Vette engine conversion. Can't remember the name off the top of my head, but they're famous around the country apparently.
