Aircon probs

Hey all,
while drivind home this avro, i switched on my a/c. the compressor came in with a clunk, then a haze started coming out of my vents and from under the bonet.
Hmmm not happy jam.

any ideas

Sounds like the flux capacitor.

I'd guess a seal is ruptured or there was a blockage in the lines that caused the air con gas to leak out.

time for a regas and a/c service then

Yep call a mobile aircon guy, they'll do a leak test and replace any seals, shouldn't cost much more than $120 for a regas while the seals are only a couple of dollars each.

i know this is a little bit different to you issue mate, but i have been getting a really damp wet smell coming through my aircon, do i need to clean something out

Have you been using it spareingly or all the time?

You'll get a similar smell if you don't use it often as mould tends to like to grow in cold, dark places like aircon ducts. I believe there's an aerosol you can buy that you spray into the air intake which will kill it off and eliminate the odour.
