bought the stuff at the bottom, is it ok to use in the car?

Says safe for turbo cars and that it does not affect viscosity, so can't see why it would be a problem. The only one of those types of products I've used personally is the Pro-Ma MBL8 which you will have to buy online from their website if you want it. It DOES work really really well though.

Checked the oil level? These engines are very fussy on how much oil is in them. Make sure oil level is right up to the line when warmed up.

Oh gawd considering it's been to a reputable mechanic, you'd wanna hope the basics have been covered. $2 says it's lifters. Oh yeah, that's right $2. I'm a high rolla y'all.

Yeah I don't think any shops will sell Pro-Ma off the shelf. I could only source it from an online store but it was delivered very quickly and didn't cost much anyway.

Mr Jeff Ash is a very capable man so I'm sure the guys over at C-Red will have no worries with your car Michelle.

Welcome aboard BTW! Glad you could join the elite rank of a West Australian Legnum VR-4 owner, hope to see you at the cruise on the 10th!

I've nothing but praise for the guys at cred, but on another note
The lifter/tappet additive has made no difference :(
so it goes to cred tomorrow

Hopefully it is just some well-and-truly shot lifters that are stuck beyond the help of some additive, not something more mechanically sinister.

Prob lifters. I just tried a new oil viscosity and mine are so much worse now so there is always the option of going the other way and using a slightly thicker oil i guess?

^^ whilst it's an easier/cheaper fix, it's only a band aid solution unfortunately.

At least it will be one colour, and won't have a sticker on the windscreen!
