can i borrow 2 wheels off someone?

Hi, i've got a vibration that i can feel through the floor and steering wheel.
can i borrow two wheels (i.e. matching pair) off someone so i can determine whether it's the wheels/tyres are the problem, or something else.

have a feel around the tyres if you feel bumps or flatspots on the tyres, its what mine had, caused alot of noise and vibration.
