Hey guys...been a while since I've been on the forums here. My (manual) VR4 has spent at least 6 months in my parents garage collecting dust. The clutch is gone and I need a cheap solution to get this car back on the road so I can arrange it's sale.

I'm not a VR4 guru and would appreciate either advice on a clutch or a recommended mechanic in SA.

Optionally, if anyone wants to buy a Dark Blue 1999 (Series II) VR4 Galant with around 80,000k on the clock (inc sunroof), I'll sell it without clutch repairs for the going rate minus clutch repair costs.

The lowest price to get a car on the road, regged and sold

buy a second hand stock evo clutch disc and pressure plate.

Get some backyarder to put it in and get rid of the car!

bradc, I was thinking of looking at NZ after seeing Galants EVERYWHERE over there. Got a link or phone number or something?

buy a second hand evo clutch off evolutionoz.net

you will score one for sub 100 bucks easy

Nice work, montgomery!

What am I asking them for (I remember something about Evo VIII or later)?

Just go in the forsale section.

Or find someone with a build thread , pm them reguarding their stock clutch.

Or just post in the WTB section.

evo 8/ 9 is the go from memory..

Ask brad c

Evo 8 or 9 will slot straight in? No flywheel adjustment or spacers?

Ralliart NZ havge quoted:

Hi Denis

MD748527 clutch plate $230
MD771746 clutch cover $300
MR145619 release bearing $108

All of the above parts are genuine Mitsubishi and available, all prices NZD and estimate on postage is $50 to $70 because of the weight
