Why does the UK only get them ? What's so special there ?

The FQ series have always been UK based though, which is a bit of shame, but the UK does have one of the best motorsport backgrounds. Given that it costs $100'000AU, buying an aus delivered Evo and spending the extra could get you close to that mark, if not further.

But 3.8s 0-60mph time is fricken insane! For a 4-door sedan, to be put in the same league as Murcielago/911 Turbo/F40! That is nuts.

Interesting they use the 5-speed too, 6-speed not strong enough perhaps? Or the car is too quick and the ratios are too short

By the way, thats my favourtie Top Gear Segment of all time too

i saw a new GTR last night, AUS delivered. So the FQ400 is comparable to that in 0-60mph time, and from a motor almost half the size on a 4dr

Not quite an Aussie FQ400 but with 270kW, decent all round upgrades, some factory warranty and the SST transmission, this looks to be a decent Aussie alternative:
