But I'm sure you'd quickly find that you use these mirrors to exit the car when parked on the side of the road.. Not a good idea.
Considering you'd be parked...you could just turn your head and look...

My wife got her P's & she can't turn her head well when driving. She had extra special side mirrors also with large blind spot mirrors to help with navigating. She also had a thing which went over her head rest which enabled her to use her head to depress a left or right panel which would turn on the required indicators.
She had restrictions on her licence, but she could still drive on her own.
For someone who was in a coma for 4.5 months after being hit by a car, I think that was a fantastic achievement !
