head light dash sign. huh??

hi guys.. really silly question here. sometimes when i turn the light on, i can see the light sign on my dash - look something like >0< hmm.. on the top left side. but sometimes i dont. why is that? is is because i turn the light on during the dusk and dawn? (do we have light sensor??)?

Somebody on CVR4 just mentioned the same thing a short while ago. There is a sensor on top of the dash but I think it isn't standard

Whenever I turn my headlights on, that symbol lights up. Doesn't matter what time of day or night.

My car also has an aftermarket auto-light thing installed that turns the lights on whenever it gets dark enough. This also causes the symbol to light up.

hhhmm maybe loose connection?!, check the bulbs if they're about to go.. mine's always worked whenever i have my headlights on or even just park lights...

^^ ditto, mine is also always on whenever my headlights are on.
