hey guys, seeing as my car is off the road due to the hole in the sump i thought that i would install the standard suspension i got from kris. i followed the HOW TO made by benny, but when i went to put the standard suspension in, the bottom of the strut is about 70mm to long to fit in the top of the wishbone. thats with the wishbone disconnected from the lower control arm.

so how do i lower the whole side assembly so that i can get the suspension in????

cheers

sorry that thread probably is a bit confusing, here are some pics.

the standard i'm putting in compared to the lowered bilsteins

the bottom of the strut versus the top of the wishbone it needs to go in (thats as low as the wishbone will go as its sitting on the drive shaft)

If you can't get it any lower you will have to undo either the top or bottom balljoint to allow the bottom arm to drop further. I don't think I had any problem removing my old struts though
