They are sweet, I have my hand up for one should they come here.
Don't really know why they wouldn't bring it here, we have always been a pretty good market for Hyundai. Pretty slow sales on the Tib though I think, a bit expensive for what it was.

Not according to Hyundai, I just got this email back after asking yesterday.

Dear Mr Ward,

Thank you for your enquiry.

At this stage, there are no plans in introducing the Genesis model to
Australia.

If you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards

If it doesn't get released here, I can bet the 4cyl turbo will get added to SEVS by Kristian

It would certainly be an interesting import option.

What's the list price in Korea? And what are their secondhand car prices like? The viability as an import will largely depend on that, I guess.

Can't find much in Korea but in the USA I found a V6 3.8 Coupe for around AU$36,000 and the V8 4.6 Sedan around AU$50,000. Both brand new. Can't find anything on a turbo 4 yet
If the pricing carried over they would sell like hot cakes.

WOOHOO, Time to start saving for 2011

err why? its a 166kw 4cyl? a stock galant is still quicker than the v6 too - though if you turbo'd it.........

Um maybe because they're not 10 years old & he wants a fresh new car?
A bit silly too to compare a 3.8L non turbo V6 with a 2.5L twin turbo V6.

What's the weight on this car like? I'd be comparing it with a Nissan 370Z.

Exactly Brad, new car, great looking and .....................................RWD. The V6 with a good exhaust and tune will be fairly quick, through in a supercharger or turbo kit and you may be talking 0-100 in 5.5secs, would be great fun with RWD lol. Also if they bring the Genisis sedan over it has a V8 that might be a swap into the coupe.
I would guess the weight at around the1500-1700kg mark, mainly due to the claimed 6.5sec 0-100 out of the 230kw V6

Just found this on a US site, the Coupe weighs 3294 lbs = 1497.3 kg
231kw, 306hp
L - 182.3 in = 463 cm
W - 73.4 in = 186.4 cm
H - 54.5 in = 138.4 cm
Wheel base - 111 in = 281.9 cm

This is the 2010 370Z, it is too early for more conversions, lol
Weights: curb weight (lbs) 3,449
Power: 248 kW , 332 HP SAE @ 7,000 rpm; 270 ft lb , 366 Nm @ 5,200 rpm
External dimensions: overall length (inches): 167.2, overall width (inches): 72.8, overall height (inches): 52.2, wheelbase (inches): 100.4,

I would think the lower weight of the Genesis should make it very similar to the new 370Z.

Just by looking at the pictures of the interior, there is definately no leg room, especially for Yowies.

How about this for some MAD Hyundai styling............these things are sik!!
