Legnum prices?

Hi guys,
I am just wondering why on carsales ect, series 1 legnums are so expensive? I have found 6 or seven series 2 leggys with lower k's and seeming to be in better condition for much less. I am aware of the whole car of the year thing, but really why would you pay more for a sereis 1 car?

Im sorry if i have offended any series 1 owners (its not my intention) i am just trying to understand why this is so! I understand car yards trying to rip people off but it seems to be the case on some of the private sector aswell. I am still a few months away from looking to buy a legnum, and im trying to do as much reaserch as possible before taking the plunge.

They might just be old stock that people paid a premium for them early on, but I wouldn't worry too much about it!
