No handbrake light

Hey, the problem is that i have noticed that my handbrake light does not come on with the handbrake being engaged. I then looked at the wire coming out of the handbrake and noticed that it had been cut and i cant find the rest of the wire to reconnect it. Does anyone know the path it takes to the gauge cluster, eg down the centre console and then up, or across the seat, down the door and then up? Ive tried looking but cant see it. Thought maybe someone whose installed a turbo timer might know.
