Hi guys,

My brakes on my 97 PFL Leggy are almost cooked, probably less than 5k left on them before they need replacing so I thought instead of just replacing them with standard OEM parts why not upgrade them.

I had a little search around on the net and found the following on Ebay... found it hard to find any sites that stocked our brakes, well at least not on the site's catalogue without having to call up and ask. Anywho this is what I have in mind, please let me know if there are better brakes for a better price out there or any other suggestions. I only really use this car as a daily to work and back and some spirited driving here and there, wouldn't mind taking it to the track one day though...

From what I've read the brakes are different on PFL and FL Legnums but most of these listing say that fit both so I'm a bit confused and thats why I'm asking for the friendly advice before I bite the bullet and order some haha. :)

Thanks heaps for the help.

Pads and rotors are the same between PFL and FL VR4's. There are smaller differences with FL (including different bolt pattern to the calipers which allow for easy swap over of Brembo's) but nothing that stops anything being swappable PFL to FL and vice versa.

Presume you've also looked at FL hub carriers and brembo upgrades?

/edit: Ahh suggested above in a different manner.

Brakes Direct have a good range of rotors and pads to suit VR4's and there prices are good. I recommend you get in contact with them.

They're the same car, one has slightly more metal and glass.

also is a good suggestion to have the brake calipers rebuilt.. you'd be surprised with the difference it makes..

2000 Legnum Mint with 44589ks when I got it. Now with black leather seats. After 3 years of fun some terminal engine bay wiring issues raised their ugly heads and it died. I Now drive a 2002 Legnum and have retired the 2000 to spare parts duty.
