tha torque figure doesnt seem right. appears to be about 200Nm too high

edit: and at stock boost i reckon thats pretty impressive, especially with a pod. is it catback or full exhaust?

You say for a "tune and power run" but did they actually tune anything?
i.e. do you have an MH7202/flashable ECU or a piggy back?

or was it simply a service and power run?

Did you put it in at Graeme West or did someone else make use of their dyno?

heres mine on the same dyno for comparison :)
'01 legnum, auto, bog stock apart from a cat-back exhaust and coilovers.

interesting boost for stock, must be the reason for the higher power. lol whats going on with the torque figures on that dyno.

as a comparison, with a haltech installed and tuned at 13psi with cat back high flow cat, panel filter and uprated plugs, leads and metal bov for no leakage i got 169kw and about 370 odd Nm atw

The VR4s have tricky ECUs.. There is only one ECU model that can currently be tuned, that is MH7202.. 7201 and 7203 can't be modified yet.. So unless you have that ECU, or a Piggy Back ECU fitted or one of those air/fuel miniceptor things, either of those last 2 you would definitely know about.. They couldn't have done a tune as far as I'm aware.

And that is what Hotwire is questioning in the first half of his post..

hehe, calm down.
I meant, other business hire out the use of Graeme West's AWD dyno - e.g. S&J Automotive dont have their own dyno, nor Jeff @ The Speed Lab - they both pay to use GW dyno ;)

Reciept states dyno "tune" but they wouldn't have tuned anything as there is nothing to "tune" in factory state without the MH7202ECU... and looking at th AFR now, I see its still factory with those figures ;)

They may have just disconnected your battery and given it a few loaded runs on the dyno and called that a tune.

It would be worth asking them how they tuned it mate.

They are some very smoothed over curves there, do all dynos have only that few sample points? I seems like it would be very hard to tune on their dyno with such limited data to go by.

Peak torque at the engine is about 400nm at 4500rpm and peak power at the engine is about 203kw assuming the standard 24% drivetrain loss.

The torque figure is always going to be artificially high due to gearing. You need to take the power figures and convert that back to torque.

Here's an early one we did on mine pre cam timing & nos.

That little blip on the way up was when it spooled up & tried to jump off the rollers :D
