Are we able to order the same stuff here from mitsi? At price a bet. EDIT: Well he has not replyed so looks like we won't be getting anything from him.
RALLIART Sport Air Filter Legnum US$89.95 +postage Anyone else interested as I might order a few to save on postage...............
Well I ended up getting the Ralliart air filter from my local Mitsi dealer, It was around $135. Fits in perfectly.
Well I'm not sure performace wise as I haven’t driven it much with the new filter, but you can hear the air sucking harder earlier I think. Dry which is what I wanted No oil needed
Ordered mine from Australian Motors here in Adelaide. 2-3 weeks coming out of Japan but a good price I reckon, and a bonus the spares guy talked to me for about 10 mins about getting his own Leggy. The word is spredding. Just a thought, what will Australian Mitsubishi Motors change their name to when there is no MMAL?
Ordered a new completed airbox also for my legnum from rhdjapan when i bought the ralliart filter, payd around 157AUD for it talked to my local mitsubishi dealer he wanted 593AUD for the box ...
Yeah, dealers are gyp's. I like to price through them for a laugh City dismantlers here in SA are good for the same laugh
*chuckles* I enjoy laughing at them and then telling them how much you can get it for elsewhere. When their pricing is 300% higher they start to realise how stupidly priced stuff is in Australia
A bit more info on the filters. The RALLIART Air Intake Filter is made of RALLIART Urethane Dry Sponge, so that you don't need to wash it or apply oil to refresh. You only need to blow pressured air through to clean it every 6,000 miles. RALLIART Urethane Sport Air Filter is rated to increase 10-15hp over stock air filter. (increase 10-15hp over stock air filter?????)
Forget ambitious, its flat-out BS. You wouldn't get this increase running NO air filter. Also remember your power gains from such 'modification' (if it can be called that) are WAAAY up in the end of your rev range where you'll never even notice them except on a dyno... Which isn't an accurate representation of real-world scenarios anyway as you've got no 150km/h wind rushing past your IC and into your intake, no road gradient and no weather conditions. Not that I'm saying there's anything WRONG with going for a Ralliart air filter, as long as its actual filtration ability is at least as good as the stock filter (which is, unfortunately, doubtful). Just don't expect you'll get a noticable increase in power for your $$.
