Hi everyone,

I'm going to be booking my car into MEEK at Girraween (Sydney) soon for a service.

Apart from the usual stuff, I've got a box of goodies which consists of ;

Timing Belt
2x Cylinder Head Gasket
4x Cam Shaft Oil Seals
Crank Shaft Oil Seal
Water Pump

I reported some problems on another thread last night & it appears I could have a problem with my torque converter seal also.

Can anyone think of anything else I could get done as a precaution ? I want to get an auto-trans cooler too...

Hey guys!
I have a guy here who is pretty good for stuff, I got onto him as my girlfriend has taken her car to him for a few years. Aparently he used to work on these cars in NZ. I am getting him to do my intercooler, pipe work etc. i have seen some of his own built Mean Machines ( Holdens mostly) and they are NICE looking pieces of work! His details are

Well the Legnum is currently in the hands of the guys at MEEK..

They're doing the usual oil & ATF flush & change plus ;

New Timing Belt,
New Water Pump,
New Crankshaft Oil Seal,
New Camshaft Oil Seals,
Checking the AYC fluids & diff,
New lifters,
New sparkplugs,
K&N Air Filter..

Hmmm wonder if the VISA card can take the hit when I pick it up on Wednesday.......

You get what you pay for! They do good work and they are Mitsubishi specialists. They race mitsubs and Ralliart send most of their work to them as well.
I told them about our forum here and they went straight on to have a look they actually said it helped them get a part number they needed.
No Dyno but!
They also do RWC's.

SSV recommended me to them when i picked up the car.

On Bobs (gooch) point. Can we get a state by state register of AWD dynos up and running??
Also include "good" ones, I know a few *coughtilbrookscough* dynos around that read way too high.

In Brisvegas..

I just had my trans and AYC fluid flushed with Carmen Import and Auto Centre at Brendale.

They are the mob that did my compliance (so in fact I could have saved myself a trip and did it all in one go). I didn't know they were a full auto workshop when I got the compliance done.

They seem to know their stuff, have all the correct equipment, one of the mechanics drives a legnum, and the price was good. They have a lot of parts in stock and have bulk purchased the fluids so were a good deal cheaper on that than some others I got prices off.

Nice one Marty, I have shot them off an email to see if they know anyone in SA that can do this and if they will tell me what system they use to bleed it out.

Getting my car serviced as well as the AYC, by a mobile mechanic tomorrow. He owns an EVO 7 and has the computer to do the AYC. So i'll let everyone know how that works out...

Hmmm had a bit of a bad comment about Neal Lowe. A mate of mine, Greg with a 97 Leggie went to him to see about a full service...aparently he went "Oh not one of those" and was quoting a price of $1850 for the service....seems a bit extreme to me
