'y' pipe

hey all i took my factory 'y' pipe off today and changed it for my custom one and in the process found a little problem. I must have been there from factory as it has got the factory paint still all over it.

there was a hole in the rear pipe, just above the flange. i am guessing this would have been a pain in the ass for the last owner as all it would have done is leak boost big time.

is this hole on the y pipe itself? its a bit hard to tell

yep the hole is on the 'y' pipe, it is where the hold down bracket is. they have blown a hole in it while welding.


the 'y' pipe is out of Montgomery's set that i brought.

the rest of the kit does not fit, i have to get it modified.

It fit 100% in my car.

If that is Monty's kit, why doesn't it fit? Came off his Facelift..

the pipe from the 'y' pipe to the intercooler does not fit. the top of the pipe hits the over flow bottle, and the bottom does not clear the drier reciever for the a/con.
but not to worry it will get there

Odd.

It fit perfect in mine and no rubbing or anything.

If i knew that i would have got it changed before i sold it.

shes cool mate, it is only 5/10mm here and there.

i cant comply it with all the piping anyway, i was aload to live the piping but not the intercooler
so most of it had to come back out
