Sold SA 2001 tuned Legnum VR-4 Type-S

This vehicle has been great to own and now due to a change in circumstances, I'm looking to move this on to another loving home.
If you prefer the versatility of the excellent tiptronic, then this Legnum has been well looked after.
For sure, it goes brilliantly since Steve tuned it and more importantly, hasn't skipped a beat since then. Testament to the guy's tuning ability for performance AND reliability.

I've kept a written record of parts changed and when, over the past 2 + years. The next major service won't need to be done for ages, saving you money. Often when you get these cars over from Japan you know little, if anything as to its service history.
At least you'll have a bit more peace of mind in that area.

112000 kms

Last ATF oci was 23,000kms. New Amsoil ATF put in July this year. Transfer case, rear diff and AYC oil changed regularly with Mitsubishi genuine oils in Japan.

*Major service done -Mitsubishi Timing belt, Mitsubishi genuine water pump, tensioner ,idler pulleys etc (all Mitsu OEM) replaced in Japan
F Right Drive shaft boot replaced
F Right Tie rod, Tie rod end boot
F left Tie rod

ATF flushed and filled with Amsoil (May '11 & July 25,2013)
Transfer, diff oils changed (April 2011 and Dec 2012)
AYC oil changed (April '11 ,May 2012 & March 2013)
Acre Light Sports brake pads and Endless brake fluid - April 2012
Power steering fluid -using Amsoil as of June 2012
Wako's RECS (Rapid engine cleaning system) done April 2012
New radiator (May 2012)
New Mitsubishi throttle body duct, thermostat, lower radiator pipe and fuel filter ( August ,2012)
New Lower Control Arms( straight) Feb 2012
New Lower Control Arms ( curved) Feb 2013

* Comes with stock exhaust so it's nice and quiet. Will also provide original engine cover.

minor cosmetic things>...one small dent, missing rear headrests ( was like that from auction), have taken the driver's side weather shield off 'cause it cracked, small crease on bottom of driver's door.

O'rrite lads and lasses, recently changed the engine oil to winter spec 0w-30.
Transfer case and rear diff oils were just changed on the weekend (using OEM Mitsi Diaqueen LSD gear oil ). Yep , funny name but the driveline is running sweet.
With the AUD/JPY exchange rate at its highest it's been for 9 months, might be a good time to bring it over for some clean Aussie air and sunshine.
Even better, for the purchase price, exchanging AUD into JPyen won't be needed as I still have an Australian bank account, so that saves a bit.

OK guys- a bit of an update to this FS thread. The car is here in Adelaide and ......is up for sale :001_unsure:.
Not many late model,low k, dark colour examples with those iida downpipes you can't get new anymore....anyway, here's your chance.

Engine oil and ATF flushed & filled just this past week, so not much to do except drive and enjoy for a while yet, unless you want to add some sexy new wheels or projector lights...

yeah, will be quite a bit factoring in postage. Do RHD have some in their warehouse?didn't know.... good on 'em if they have. Unless they've convinced him to start making them again, there's an announcement on the website ( in Japanese) that he no longer does 'em, as of August 2012.
If they can still be bought via RHD then all the better

Just did a flush, oil & filter change today (trying ULX110 10w-30) so it's good to go until next autumn.
$10K - buy it, buy it ! Engine's clean, rear diff & transfer case fluids have barely travelled 9,000 kms, AYC around 6000 kms in 9 months....

Isn't anyone interested in a well maintained example that doesn't need spending big bucks ripping it open for the timing belt/water pump changeover anytime soon?

Get one at 75-85K , even as a fresh import, you're gonna be shelling out for the t/belt changeover real soon, not to mention mods to make it go quicker....get one at 160-180 it needs doing too...

Forgot to add, this comes with an original Legnum owner's manual (in Japanese- how cool is that?), with all the useful stuff like exact amounts of fluids needed when servicing.... in case you're too busy to log into here

Also have various receipts, including the major service/timing belt one ....from the place that did it in J-land.
