2009 Galant Coupe?

Any one know anything about this?
I was searching for info on my '75 Coupe and came across this photo claiming it was a 2009 Galant Coupe!!!

^ My first thoughts too.. on second look can see the similarities with new Evo X too, but defintately R35 GTR Cues there.

LOL.. if that was the new Legnum VR4.. then i would definite join the dark side...

should still be 2.5ltr V6 DOHC Twin Turbo, with added handling of ACD and S-AYC.. or event eh SH-AWD of the Honda Legend..

and should also REV up to 8500rpm.. then i'd be really really fall for it...

The tail lights look very USDM gay, but the rest of the car looks OK. Always confused me that Mitsubishi made the Eclipse a US-only model.

The problem with the 4th gen Eclipse is that its styling is so obviously derivative (Tom forgot to mention the Audi TT at the back), and that pseudo-GTR blackout at the front for 2009 is not going to help.

Also, from what I've read, it's not a very good drive either.

Not a patch on the 1st and 2nd gen models.

There's a part of my heritage that thinks the new Eclipse is fan-freakin-tastic looking, but the Aussie part of me is shaking its head.

Mish-mash of R35 GT-R / Hyundai Tiburon in the front, with 350Z/Audi TT in the rear with a Supra RZ spoiler.

I remember seeing sneak/concept shots of this coupe close to 2 years ago now. It's a shame they didn't fix up the bad looks then.

I like it apart from the black unpainted plastic and the rear lights are too shiney
