it looks much worse in real life...as you can see the wheel is quite pushed in and its hard to tell from these pics but front bar damage is extensive

man i pictured something similar to mine, you'd have to take the front bar to a panel beaters.but from those pics it does look repairable.and with a nice aftermarket front bar like that you would want it to get fixed, and id just buy the suspension parts that are broken from techsport.

and if you need that flared guard extension for your front bar,i have both the left hand side and the right hand side collecting dust.cam eon my cut and i didnt need them.

pics dont look as bad as i thought it would be, i would be getting the bar repaired if its after market its probably fibreglass and its easier to fix if they know what they are doing.

shouldnt be that bad just chase parts and get them replaced, i understand you not having insurance as they charge way too much and often you are better to put the money away in case you need it, Normally its only every 3 or 4 years that you ever need to get something repaired so you end up better off anyway.

all the best with the repair, just dont let any GF or partners drive it in future especially if you are argueing lol

keep us informed as to what is happening and if anyof us can help, as someone said most of us will do anything to help if we can.

Wow I just realised this whole thing is scarily like "The Approaching Curve" by Rise Against. Except you didn't die. But dude. Wow.

Anyhoo, bumper is an easy fix. Re-glassed and painted. Couple hundred max. I've had way worse fixed.

If you can get under the car and get pics of the damage to the suspension some members here might be able to help with the diagnosis there too.

With the wheel, buy a pair. If you can't find anything local contact Jesse Streeter and see what he can chase up for you in Japan. Might be a bit of a wait, but worth it in the end. They are very high offset (and appear narrow) so they won't be expensive second hand.

Wow that is WAY less damage than I expected. Whether that bar is fibreglass or plastic it is EASILY repairable, although it will require a respray which is the expensive bit. If the bar is plastic find a good plastic welder - over here there's a guy who specialises in plastic bumper repairs, I expect there are businesses like that in every major city. If fibreglass its easy as hell to find someone.

You need to get that wheel, guard, engine cover and bumper off so you can see the extent of the damage. Even if you've never done it before the bumper will only take you an hour and a half to get off once you get started (just take a look through the How To guides first). With experience you can get one off in about 30mins (I've had mine on and off about 10 times now!)

the car is a garage now and i'm waiting to hear the extent of the damage. Thanks for all your help guys, going to have to be real careful i dont get screwed over with repair costs as i simply dont have the time or the skills to do it myself. I got told the whole bar would need replacement...but from the consensus on here i'll start enquiring on just getting it repaired. Only things i know i need definetly so far are a replacement wheel and little guard arch thingy. Will get some photos when the wheel is off as well and put them up.

dude, first off.. sorry to hear about what happened to your car.. and as an advice in the future.. when having an argument with your girlfriend or (siblings in my case).. whether you're driving or in this case.. she is.. if she's yelling at you.. don't listen.. treat it like a very loud noisy music.. look for a safe place to park or stop, once stopped put the gear in neutral and park brake on.. then beat the crap out of him/her..

that way you win.. LOL..

about the car.. are you able to take photos of the under carriage so we can see what needs to replacement.. also the strut tower.. I have this feeling that you only need to replace the lower control arms (straight and curved) as well asd the tie rods.. well hope it's not damaged.. otherwise.. you'll have to soure another power steering rack..

Well maybe not beat the crap out of him/her...but a stern talking to might be more appropriate :p
Arguments in cars always end in tears. In my old Peugeot 505 i was having a blue with the girlfriend and in anger backhanded the window (car was stopped). Needless to say the screen was cracked and it wasn't cheap to replace either :(
Damage doesn't look too bad. Any decent smash repairer shouldn't charge you an arm and a leg for the bodywork, the chassis might be a little more of an issue. Hoping it all goes smooth for you mate.

ok so got the quote for the suspension. Needs new stub axle, wheel hub, lower control arm, caster radius arm, wheel bearing, outer tie rod end and rack end. With other shit theyre doing (bleeding brakes, wheel alingnment etc) its coming to just over 2k. Once thats done it will be going to another repairer for quote on the bodywork and front bar repair/replacement. Its a lot of money but not as much as i thought so for now i am content.

let me know man,to give you an idea,i sent some datsun guards to melbourne, they were fibreglass and they were smaller, and it cost $110,so youre looking somewhere between that and $200 for postage, doubt any repair bill will be that costly
